did this computer have Windows 7 or Windows 8 on it when you first got it....and then you did the Windows 10 upgrade? So you had Windows 10 on it when you did a factory reset?

Customer: replied 10 days ago.
It has Windows 7 I tried to update to Windows 10 it wouldn't update that's when I reset it
Expert:  Quiksilver07070 replied 10 days ago.

Did the computer come with ANY discs? LIke restore discs?

Expert:  Quiksilver07070 replied 10 days ago.

Also, can you give me the Serial number, it is a laptop....yes?

Expert:  Quiksilver07070 replied 10 days ago.

you might have to use reset it the old fashioned way.....using Windows 7 discs (or Win7 bootable USB drive)

For whatever reason the Reset feature didnt work.....so now, you have to manually install windows.

But the only way to do that is with the Windows Install media (either a disc or USB drive)

YOur particular model might have some specific instructions on how to do this......but i need the serial number to pin down your machine files.

Expert:  Quiksilver07070 replied 10 days ago.

you also might be able to boot from the recovery partition.....if there is one.....might not be.

.

But again i need serail number to pull the exact files for YOUR machine.

If the question is answered here, I guess you will be charged for about $46 for quality services with 100% satisfaction.

If your Acer laptop is still under warranty, you may call Acer Support or simply return the product for refund.
