Hello, and Thank You for choosing JustAnswer.comMy name is ***** ***** I am reviewing your question now, please stand by for 1 or 2 minute for reply.
When you say master reset......what did you do exactly?
Well, did you interrupt the process at all?
I mean did you have it plugged in to power the whole time?
YOu didnt try to stop it at any point....by hitting the power button or anything?
And when it was all done.....or appeared to be all done.....what was on the screen?
did this computer have Windows 7 or Windows 8 on it when you first got it....and then you did the Windows 10 upgrade? So you had Windows 10 on it when you did a factory reset?
Did the computer come with ANY discs? LIke restore discs?
Also, can you give me the Serial number, it is a laptop....yes?
you might have to use reset it the old fashioned way.....using Windows 7 discs (or Win7 bootable USB drive)
For whatever reason the Reset feature didnt work.....so now, you have to manually install windows.
But the only way to do that is with the Windows Install media (either a disc or USB drive)
YOur particular model might have some specific instructions on how to do this......but i need the serial number to pin down your machine files.
you also might be able to boot from the recovery partition.....if there is one.....might not be.
But again i need serail number to pull the exact files for YOUR machine.
okay.....i may have to continue this a bit later....i have an emergency come up
Can we continue in a couple hours.?
