Hi Benita and welcome to the site, I’m Louie. Sorry you had to wait awhile but I’ll do my best to help.

Initially, this would appear to be a hardware issue if all settings, configurations have been checked / tried.

Would you be comfortable with a DIY (do-it-yourself) repair approach?

Customer: replied 24 days ago.
I would
Expert:  Louie replied 24 days ago.

Great on the DIY Benita!

Some background information please:

  • is this a sudden issue;
  • or was intermittent and/or slowly developing over time;
  • what is the Operating System of the Aspire?
Customer: replied 24 days ago.
started after a windows 10 update about a month or so ago

I understand and still, please try even borrow when able.

This is both an attempt of a fix and as a test before/confirm the DIY.

With a direct connection using a LAN cable, go the the Acer website and update the drivers for the WiFi card.
