On start up it ask for HDD2/SSD2 password, I bought this

Customer Question

on start up it ask for HDD2/SSD2 password, I bought this laptop from HH Gregg years ago (new) however some one had put a password ***** it, I had to partition the hard drive. now for the last few months it's asking fo this password ***** I'm sure I never set a password ***** this??
JA: When did you last reset your username and password?
Customer: when I bought it and partitioned it
JA: Have you installed any updates recently? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: I get updates all the time, it's probably had hundreds since I bought it, I've had it for about 4-5 years, so far I just keep turning it on and off until to goes to normal start up, however now it won't go to start up. using F2 or F12 do nothing
JA: Anything else you want the computer expert to know before I connect you?

Okay, do you know how to remove the disk or SSD from the laptop? It's not that hard.

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
No but it can't be that hard
Expert:  bbao replied 3 months ago.

Correct. Please see attached the screenshot for where to open the HD cover and remove the SSD.

Once removed, bring it as another computer's external drive (you may need to get a USD drive case for the disk), run DISKPART utility of Windows to erase everything of the disk.

Be very careful when using the DISKPART. read the HELP before doing anything. basically you only need to use two commands:

SELECT DISK 2 (# depending the system configuration)

ERASE
