Most likely? This means when your computer is booting? It doesnt boot to your hard drive. It will

boot to things like, e drive, recovery partitions etc. instead of hard drive.

This can be something as simple as a usb, external drive, even ipod etc. in your computer. Take out

ALL external influences like those, or anything you have connected to it.

Satellite can be many things. What is the make/model of the computer?

And what version of windows do you have on the computer? 7/8/10? It will help us do this:

Check Boot Order. The most easiest fix for the “Reboot and select proper Boot Device” error is to make sure your computer's boot order correctly list your hard disk as 1st option. Press the necessary key to open BIOS menu. This key depends on your computer manufacturer and computer model.

I can show you how to do that, but i need the other information first. Depending on the exact model,

will tell us which keys to press to get to bios.

toshiba windows 7
Expert:  Isaac Franklin replied 1 month ago.

You can follow this guide below (remember, this is a timing thing as well. you may have to

repeat that F2 to get to this many times)

http://www.windowspasswordsrecovery.com/fix-windows/how-to-change-the-boot-order-for-a-toshiba-laptop.html

When you get to bios utility set up? You want to select HARD DRIVE. to boot from. Ensure there is

NOTHING external in your computer like flashdrives, devices etc.

If you get to that screen, and hard drive is already selected, tell me and we will go from there.

Expert:  Isaac Franklin replied 1 month ago.

Will it allow you to rest on select boot?

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
no nothing
Expert:  Isaac Franklin replied 1 month ago.

We can try another way, but while i am typing directions, please turn your computer off.

Take out battery, (if it applies to your model) and power cord. Hold down power button for

a full minute. Put battery/charger back in and turn on. Tell me if that screen comes back up.
