Customer: replied 1 month ago.
I need all.the information on it. My boyfriend has a business and all his invoices, etc are on it. Also all my bank accounts. I have an HP desktop. Do you think I need to install some drivers.
Customer: replied 1 month ago.
Do I need a CD or can I use a flash drive?

We'll need to burn a program to a CD, try to boot from that on the laptop to see if we can recover anything from hard drive.

CD will be better, flash drive doesn't work sometimes

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
I know when I looked this up on Toshiba they were telling users to download and install some drivers. I'm not tech savvy so I didn't even try that. Do you want me to go to my desktop?

we can't install drivers as it won't boot up

yes go to desktop and download this file https://www.dropbox.com/s/j2nxhy45hdri3y6/Win7PE_x64.ISO?dl=0

Sorry when you first told me to reseat the drive I actually reseated the CD drive. It is back in but I can't get it to open now.

try reseating it again or get a paperclip to stick in the hole next to the button to open it

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
I did both and it will not open.

even if you take the CD drive out of the laptop and push a paperclip in the hole? it should pop the tray out.

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
Nope it won't. I tried with it in and with it out. The door is stuck shut.
