My download speeds on wifi are irregular and slow. is this software related or equipment related. I reloaded the software and the problem still exists. I am using an Aspire E5-574-58iM laptop running windows 10.
JA: Just to clarify, what's the exact model of your Aspire? And what operating system are you running?
Customer: Aspire E5-574-58iM laptop running windows 10
JA: Have you installed any updates recently? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: Only updates were to try and correct the problem, update of the software for the wireless driver from your website. I normall use the laptop approx. 35 ft away from the router, but also tried using the laptop within 10 inches of the laptop and got the same result. Frontier checked my router and it was working properly. I tried using my old laptop (7 year old HP and it worked just fine).

If you haven't already, please disconnect the wireless connection on your laptop and test the wired (Ethernet) connection by using an Ethernet cable.

Let me know if the speed is faster, slower or the same as wireless connection.
