Gordon, things seems to be little critical. From question i could understand that the HDD has some sort of issue as its not even loading OS. As a primary thing what we can do is to subject HDD to diagnostic test..

For that press F2 and scan HDD for any fault

Please let me know the diagnostic result

I advised this 2 days ago.
I got very angry about your organisation process - which is inconsistent with the initial marketing of no payments if the customer is unhappy.
Instead one is led into a PC maze with advertisements charging more. This is crazy Customer Relations when you have HP directing people to your site. A totally misleading process.
I note my visa card is wrongly being used given my clear instructions in the exchanges above not to do so. No deduction has yet happened and if it does i shall certainly complain to HP and your organisation. signed Gordon Conolly

I already informed that you can simply ignore the message that shows for extra services. The pop ups are really meant for customers who have little knowledge about computer as this pop up help them to select any services they require

Since you are not interested to resume troubleshooting, i shall request refund
