Hi, and thank you for asking your question.
First off, please disconnect the power charger cable from the laptop.
Next, press and HOLD down the Power button for atleast 60 seconds, and then release the button.
Next, press the Power button one more time - does it boot up all right this time?

OK; when you pressed down the Power button for 60 seconds earlier, was the laptop already turned off, or was it on (i.e. with the lights on)?
Yes, please see my above two replies.

Hi my name is ***** ***** I will be the expert working with you today to help and resolve the problem you have posted.
Let me know the make or the manufacturer brand of the laptop.
give me few mins i am checking the hardware configuration.
I am sorry for the hold time.
As it has an inbuit battery we cannot just remove it however i would like to know if this unit is in warranty or it out.
Unplug the ac adapter and then try to press and hold down the power button on the laptop for 30 seconds and let me know if the power shuts down or not.
no activity on the computer please press the numlock key and let me know if it glows or not while the power is off.
ok good we will wait for few mins and then power on the laptop.
now you can power on the laptop please make sure the ac adapter is connected.
that means the computer is not shut down completely its still on the sleep mode stuck you will have to leave the laptop sit for few hrs till the battery drains and make sure the power adapter is connected. Once the battery drains the system will shut down. I know this is frustrating as we cannot do a power cycle as the battery is inbuit so we have to wait till its exhausted.
Yes that is correct.
If the battery is fully charged then it will take minimum 6 hrs to drain, you can leave it overnight and you can try powering on in the morning.
yes you can find me in the morning, all you have to do is open your email look for justanswer email open it and you will see a button "View my answer" click on it and that will launch this chat session again.
