Hi Greg, welcome and thank you for your question. My name is ***** ***** I am glad to assist you today.

I am very sorry but this issue is not related to your BIOS. This is an issue with your Windows 10 struggling to initialize and recognize your computer's hardware components.

Are you able to boot the computer to Windows 10 normally now despite the inability to install updates? Or is Windows 10 still NOT include due to the said error message?
Please let me know by replying to me here so that I can help you further.

Best regards,

PC will not boot to windows 10. The install process gets all the way through to the first initial startup attempt for windows 10 then crashes immediately after bios boot with memory in non paged area fault.
PC has windows 8.1 working great.

This issue is associated with your hard disk and Windows installation profile. First, please check your Drive C for errors. Open Explorer, right click on drive C, then click Properties.

Click on Disk Cleanup

Then right click on Drive C again then click Properties. Click Tools tab, then click CHECK button under error checking. Allow it to scan for errors and fix it.

Go to the same spot and do the Optimize button under the Optimize and defragment section.

Make sure that you TURN OFF your antivirus or uninstall it.

After doing these hard drive check. please try to install Windows 10 upgrade.
