by a Microsoft server.
Are you logged in to the laptop now?
Is the laptop connected to the internet? There's a network/wi-fi icon on the login screen.
Open it up and verify that the laptop is connected to the internet.
I've verified that the password ***** work. After you enter the password ***** try to log in what is the message
you are receiving?

Can you sign in on this page with the new password: http://account.live.com/
Since the laptop is new is it ok to set it back to back to factory new?

That's talking about a password ***** flash drive. Those work perfectly except that they have to
be created before you lose your password.
Can we factory reset the laptop?
Ok. While looking at the login screen, hold down the Shift key (and keep it held down)
and click the Power icon in the lower right corner and select Restart.
When you see "Please Wait" release the Shift key.
A page should open that says at the top "Choose an Option"
On the Choose an Option page click Troubleshoot
and then click Reset your PC.
Is that the only thing on the page?

Hold down the power button until the laptop shuts off (about 4 - 5 seconds)
Turn it back on and as soon as you see the Acer screen immediately
hold down the Alt and F10 keys at the same time
for 1 - 2 seconds and release and tell me the screen that comes up.
Go to Advance Options and tell me what you see there.
Do you see anything that says Troubleshoot?
Click Reset your PC
Remove everything and install only to the partition where Windows is installed.
Great. Once it's done you set up a new account and password ***** be able to log in to the laptop
and you'll be able to use it once again.

Wait and let it finish. Once it starts the process the only thing to do is wait.
