What's the model of your printer?

Do you connect a USB cable from the printer to the computer?

With the printer powered on, if you disconnect the printer's USB cable from the computer, then re-plug it to the computer, does the computer make a sound?

Thank you for the information. Please try the following fix:

  1. Disconnect the printer's USB cable from the computer for now.
  2. Click on Start, then click on Devices and Printers.
  3. Right-click on the HP printer and remove it for now. Make sure there is no HP printer showing any more for now.
  4. Make sure printer is powered on.
  5. Re-connect the USB cable from printer to computer.
  6. Wait a bit, and the printer should automatically be reinstalled.
  7. Check printing.

Were you able to delete the HP printer? If yes, did the printer reinstall itself when you re-connected it to the computer? If yes, what happens when print a document or a picture or a website, etc. now?
