Hello I am sorry for your issue, my name is ***** ***** I'll be happy to work on this with you. What is the brand of the laptop?

When you say it won't boot, is it attempting to power on, can you hear the hum of the fan, do lights come on?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.

Hi, Just poking in. I noticed you mentioned that the old ram is not working as well. This could be a case of the lead free solder that they are using on a lot of boards these days breaking loose. It really doesn't take a lot to over flex the part of the board where you connect the memory if not careful. If this is the case it may be worth contacting toshiba to fix this if you still have a manufacturer warranty or a extended warranty from where you purchased the device. Toshiba laptops unfortunately are pretty notorious for board related issues.
