my new Acer Chromebook automatically went from a white screeen background to green. Can I fix it or must I return it? TX, Phil

do you want to change the background of your computer?

  1. Right-click anywhere on the desktop screen to open the context menu.
  2. Click Change Desktop Background from the displayed list.
  3. On the Background window, in the right bottom ( along the ZOOM button), you would see the color. Please click it and change it to white.
  4. if that does not change the color, please click the Plus sign from the bottom-left corner and select a blank image with white background. You can create such image or download it from google

I watched the video, checked the compatibility of the instructions and followed your instructions. The colors didn't include white so I tried a white theme but the default background remained light green. I give up. We'll return the chromebook. I hope you're won't charge me for this. Phil

You can try a reset to fix this. From the sign in screen

hold down the ctrl alt and shift keys and press r.

Follow the Powerwash prompts to reinstall the Chrome operating system.

Hopefully you won't need to make the return.
