Hi there and welcome

Can you do the following please

Remove the power cable and the battery from the Laptop

Then hold the power button down for 60 seconds then release.

Once done, connect the battery and power cable and then try to turn the Laptop on.

Let me know please if it then starts

Thats ok, just skip the step of removing the battery please.

Let me know the results

I have been doing that for hours. No luck
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

you mean you have already remove the power and held the power button down for 60 seconds?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.

Thanks

Are any of the lights showing on it at all?

And how old is it?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Just under 2 years. The only light on is the power cord/ battery light, which stays even if I unplug it

Thanks

It is the internal chipset on the motherboard that has faulted. The power supply is ok as the lights still show (from the battery as well as the cable).

A corrupted firmware can cause this. But we have ruled this out by trying to hard reset it.

I am really sorry about this and you are going to have to return the laptop to have the motherboard replaced. It will be covered by the warranty and the replacement will be done at no cost to you but it has t be replaced

I am really sorry about this, and if you have problems, or would like any additional information or assistance, please do not hesitate to let me know.

And if you can take a second to rate my service, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

This is not good news. I do not have a warranty
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

ok, do you feel comfortable dismantling it? As there is one more step you can do yourself that they would do under warranty for you.
