Thanks for the information!
It looks like there is a problem with the Windows 7 boot files.
First, please check if the hard disk is still recognized by the computer. To check that, restart the computer and then keep pressing the F2 key. It should enter the BIOS. Look at the first tab (screen) there. Does it say anything about the hard disk drive or SATA?
If you cannot see any information there without typing the password, please try to remember what password ***** used.
Sorry for the delay.
Is the first tab you see named Information?
OK. Does it mention something about the hard disk drive, or SATA?
In the Information tab, check if you can see "HDD Model Name".
The goal is to check if the hard disk drive is recognized by the BIOS since it is possible that it either disconnected or failed completely. The message "BOOTMGR is missing" means the boot files cannot be accessed. That could be because of the problem with the hard disk drive or with the boot files corruption.
Are you able to take a picture of the Information and Main tab with your phone or any other digital camera and then attach those pictures here, so that I can see what the information there says?
OK, the Information tab shows your hard disk drive as IDE0 - Western Digital hard disk drive.
That means the hard disk drive is properly connected and detected by the computer. The problem is in the corrupted boot files. To be able to repair them, you need to have a Windows 7 disc.Do you have it?
It looks like you are offline.
When you return, let me know if you happen to have a Windows 7 installation or repair disc.
What about Acer recovery discs - do you have those?
