Did you try restarting your laptop ?

Please press and hold the power button of your laptop until it shuts down.
Then again press the power button to restart.
After that you'll be able to use your cursor and turn off the airplane mode.
Please let me know if you don't know how to turn off the airplane mode.

Does it have a hardware switch for enabling/disabling the airplane mode ?

No it doesn't but the Airplane has been reported to little buggy in windows 8.
Please press FN key + F5 key simultaneously.
Does it brings back your cursor ?
