My son was given a used toshiba laptop by his divorced mother

My son was given a used toshiba laptop by his divorced mother is has a partition and will not reformat thus acts like an old computer with haardly any memory it has widows vista

refomatting, deleting programs he does not want.

If you want to restore the computer to factory settings, you can do that by using a simple commands at the startup.


Note: Restoring to factory settings would delete all of the software and data on this computer and it would to go a state it was on the very first day of its purchase.

Being divorced I gave the info to the ex and she did nothing the kids are back and tried it but there is no special zero key and it seemed to ignore shift +zero

1. Click Start.
2. Right-click Computer.
3.Click Manage.
4.Click Continue if it asks to do so.
5.Click Disk Management on the left hand side.
6.Now, You will see your drives listed there.
7.Please format it here.
8.Once format is completed, it would be shown on the computer.
