The screen on my acer aspire 5741 blinks, what is causing this to happen?
I checked all the drivers and they are up to date, i changed resolution, and refresh rate, still nothing happens, i am currently running a system scan.
Hi,WELCOME TO JUST ANSWER!! My name is XXXXX XXXXX today I will assist you to solve or identify your problem.Does the screen starts to blink, as soon as you power on the laptop?
it happens at random
Can you please connect an external monitor with the laptop and let me know, if the screen of the external monitor is also blinking at the same time or not?
I forgot to mention that i attempted this already, the external monitor did not flicker or blink, i also ran "BurnIn" to max out my performance to see if it was due to a high work load.
Thanks for trying that already and the flickering is not due to work load, because it had nothing to do with the work, that you perform on your laptop. Are you replying from the same laptop?
no i am replying from a HP laptop
Ok, do you have Windows XP on your acer laptop?
Windows 7 home premiun sp1
OK, the problem you are facing on your acer laptop is caused due to hardware faults, like some cable can be loose or the screen can be defective etc. and I request you to not rate me negative , that is less than 3 star or smiley faces for this fault, because I am not responsible for the fault and it is beyond my control to repair the fault. Now, I can only tell you, what to try in this situation, so I am giving you some steps to follow, as you are saying the problem is random, you have to try this few times, to be sure of the exact problem. If you face the same problem in safemode (which I am going to tell you), then it is definately a hardware problem and in that case, you have to repair the laptop. Now, the big problem is the cost of repairing, if the problem is related to cable, then the cost will be low, but if the problem is related to the whole screen, then the cost will be high. I know, it is very difficult to like this answer, but I hope you will understand, that I cannot give you anything except the true facts.Shut Down the PC.Restart it and start tapping the F8 key as soon as it power on until you can see the Windows Advanced Menu like the image below.Select Safemode and press. If you would like any additional information or have more questions please don’t hesitate to ask! Please remember to only rate my answer when you think, it is at least "OK Service" or I have provided a Good or Excellent service.IF you feel the need to click either "Bad Service" or "Poor Service", please stop and reply to me via the REPLY TO EXPERT or CONTINUE CONVERSATION button with the issue you have. I will be happy to continue further and do everything I can to provide you with the service you seek.41086.9352552083
Can you please tell me, why did you give me a negative rating, because it is not possible for me to repair the fault through Internet and I have provided the correct information related to your problem.
