compact disk is stuck in the slot. it does not eject, and there is no icon on the screen. But I cannot insert another disk.
Already Tried: The eject sign and the eject key.

Ok.Shutdown your computer.Hold the mouse key pushed down, and power it up.Keep your finger on the mouse button - the CD will eject as part of the power up process.Thanks,J.
Thank you; it worked. But I was puzzled by the words "mouse" key but Ifigured it referred to the power key. I held it down for some time and outpopped the disk. But it is a puzzle that the icon disappeared from thescreenVivian xxxxxx
