on starting-up my p.c. the integtated keyboard does not operate

on starting-up my p.c. the integtated keyboard does not operate unless I hold down a key for about 16 clicks. How can i free-off the keyboard please?

Model: VCG-M1

Already Tried:
nothing really. I cannot find any reference to the problem in any trouble-shooting literature. I think I have seen a reference somewhere to 'sticky keys'??

Do you see any sticky keys window or screen?

About 2 years.

About 2 years. No symbol that I recognise.

Please reboot your laptop.

SVITExperts :

As it reboots, immediately tapping F8 3-4 times

SVITExperts :

When you get the Advanced Startup Options, select Safe Mode and press Enter

SVITExperts :

Now your laptop is running Safe Mode.

SVITExperts :

See if your keyboard is working properly.

Afraid not. I had to depress shift key for about 16 clicks before keyboard was active

So after 16 clicks your keyboard will work correctly?

Yes that is correct Windows XP

Please turn off the Sticky keys as follow

SVITExperts :
  1. Click Start → Control Panel → Accessibility Options.
  2. Go to the Keyboard tab.
  3. Un-check the box labeled “Use FilterKeys”.
  4. Click the Settings button.
  5. Un-check the box labeled “Use shortcut”.
  6. Press OK twice to save your changes.

If you do not see Accessibility Options, switch to Classic view in Control Panel.
