This time please select Safe Mode and press Enter
that is an option where there are many key strokes detected at once
It looks like a clock - never saw it before?
Please check your laptop's keyboard for any stuck key
This happend earlier tonight when I had a note pad on the keyboard and probably pushed a bunch of keys at the same time.
Do I have to reboot agian?

please select Start->Accessories->System tools
You will see System Restore here.
RIGHT CLICK on System Restore and select Run as administrator.
There will be a list of dates.
Select one that is nearest from yesterday
and run Restore
It says recommended restore - 5/19/12
it then says next

for the 2nd one, please make sure to uncheck the boxes to Turn on Filter keys
Uncheck the 1st box which say Turn on Filter Keys
and Turn on Filter keys when SHIFT is pressed for 8 seconds
Is that all - uncheck the top box?
First box and Turn on Filter keys when SHIFT is pressed for 8 seconds
OK - then hit OK?
After this, please reboot your laptop and test it
what does that setting do?
It will lock they keyboard when many keys pressed at the same time
Or press many times at once
thats probably what happened - fingers crossed.
