Customer Question

The fn-F7 key on my X60 no longer offers display options but merely switches off the external display. Any attempt through windows settings to make the external screen the default display also switches off that screen. Please advise how I can rectify this.

Hi,

You can download and install the Presentation Director program at
http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS001661
, then use it to manage your display settings.

Thank you.

Thank you. I've done that and also installed the secondary drivers they recommended. But no difference except that on reboot, the external screen is now dead and has to be activated through settings. I have tried running PDrivers.exe but get the message "cannot show on internet" I have checked my access with other sites and no probs. Please advise further.

Were you able to install the presentation directory program? What happens when you open it and use it?

CAn you just use Fn and F7 to switch screen and use the windows settings to set up the display?

Can you download and update the video/graphics drivers:

Thanks.
