go to control panel->view change it to small icons. Then go to Network and Sharing center->Manage wireless networks

click on your connection and remove it

then go to the wireless at the bottom right and double click to connect to your wireless connection

see if it will fix the issue

when I go to do the second part after removing the connection, it does not even scan for it. wireless is not turned on again
