Customer Question

Hello:
I just had to remove a large ficus tree due to severe infestation from 3 different kinds of pest. I want to replace it to give privacy and shade. What do you suggest that will grow quickly? I was thinking of transplanting a giant bird of paradise that is planted in the wrong spot. How quickly will that grow and does it grow tall and wide?
thank you

The giant bird of paradise plant can grow up to erect woody stems reaching a height of 6 m (20 ft) and the clumps formed can spread as far as 3.5 m (11 ft).

Here is the info for caring for it properly to give it the best chance of growing well and big like you want it to.
