My fiancee and I gave 60 days notice. However, we found an apartment that would have us moving out in 40 days instead. The new roommate agreed to move in as of the 9th and filled out a rental application. All of our roommates are staying and agreed to us moving out earlier as well. Now the new roommate wants to go back to the july 1st move in date and the current roommates are refusing to allow us to move out early nor will they allow us to find another potential roommate. Are we still responsible for the rent? Or did they release us from our responsibility when they agreed to the early move out date.
