Am I obligated to a lease with the wrong dates on it? The landlord put a year on the lease with the dates of May 1st, 2016- April 30th 2016 ?

This is Samuel. If there was an understanding verbally that the lease would go for 1 year from May 1 2016 to April 30 2017 then no. The lease cannot be broken for that reason. It is a typo.
