There is no case law about using legally approved chemicals for treat for termites and that is perfectly legal for them to use in an apartment. There is no law to prevent them from using LEGAL chemicals. Now if the chemicals are not legal for use, then that would be a breach of lease and grounds to sue the landlord. To know if the chemical is legal or not, you would need to contact the state department of environmental quality.
