Customer Question

I have an existing lease with 5 tenants. The city informed me that this exceeds the number of tenant allowed by city code by 1. Can the lease be terminated without cause if it violates city code?

Hello and welcome! My name is ***** ***** I will try my level best to help with your situation or get you to someone who can.

.

Did you allow the 5 tenants to move in under the lease?

.

How many people are actually signers on the lease as tenants?

.

Or did they just end up with 5 people living there?

.

.

thanks

If the city does not allow more than 4 tenants in a rental in Texas and I have an existing lease with 5 tenants listed on the lease is this cause for invalidating the lease?

I saw that you had asked this same question with another expert earlier. Did you still need help with it or were you getting a second opinion?
