Customer Question

A television was broken in the room of a paying guest while I was away from home. He claims he does not know what happened but it is obvious that someone pushed the dresser over that the television was sitting on. I do not have renters insurance. Is the guess liable for the damages considering the tv was in his room and became broken during his stay? He is a renter from AirBnB. Should I call the police to make a report? Will this better my chances of getting compensation from the guest?

Hello. My name is***** will be happy to answer your question.
I am sorry to hear about this unfortunate situation.
Do you have a written renter's agreement with this renter?
Does the TV show physical damage?
Do you have any evidence that the TV was not broken prior to the renter moving in?
