Welcome! My goal is to do my very best to understand your situation and to provide a full and complete answer for you.
Good afternoon. Yes, as the current owner, you are entitled to the rent up through the date of closing and can proceed with the eviction to that date. Upon sale, the new owner simply steps into your shoes and if the eviction process is not complete, then the new owner can take over for you. The eviction process is separate from the civil suit for unpaid rent and you can each file your own suits for unpaid rent.
