Just change the fuel pump and it won't start I took the fuel lines off and no fuel coming out
JA: When did you last fill the tank? And do you smell gasoline around the engine?
Customer: No its diesel
JA: What is the model/year of your Kia?
Customer: 2006 sorento
JA: Are you fixing your Sorento yourself? What have you tried so far?

Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

If the fuel pump isn't running yet is new then it's missing a power or ground feed. There are a number of things that could cause a loss of power to the pump including wiring, simply a blown fuse, and the engine controller itself.

Do you have spark?
Have you checked for communication with the ECM using a scan too?
