The power window on the front drivers side went down, but

Customer Question

The power window on the front drivers side went down, but would not go up. My car only has 48K miles on it.
JA: Have you checked the fuses?
Customer: No, where are they?
JA: What is the model/year of your Kia?
Customer: 2009 Spectra EX
JA: Are you fixing your Spectra yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: No I am not very mechanical.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: This has never happened. The other windows work fine.

Either the master switch is not grounding the window up circuit or the relay inside the fuse box is bad. When you push the switch up do you hear a click inside the fuse box that is inside located on the driver side around where your left knee is? If you do not hear the window relay clicking need to get a volt meter and start checking voltages in and out of the window switch and the pins on the back of the fuse box.

Didn't hear any clicking, but I had the radio on.

It went back up, but now I am afraid to put it back down again.

Well would help if all was quiet so you can hear it good. Sounds like the master window switch is bad. Without a volt meter it is hard to diagnose. If you roll it down again when trying to roll it up tap on door around the switch or wiggle the switch as you pull up and see if it works.
