Hi,

How long does the fan continue to run after the engine is turned off?

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
It doesn't stop and is still running now.

Can you try pulling the relay to see if the fan turns off? It is in the under hood fuse box labeled C/Fan 50AMP. Then pull the cooling fan low relay.

Expert:  Jared D replied 5 months ago.

If the fan turns off then you could have a bad relay causing it to stay on.

Here is what the relay box looks like and the relays you will want to remove to see if the fan turns off.

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
I can't get to what I think is the fuse Bo's. It won't lift off.

I can't remember of the top of my head, but I think there is a tab on one side of the box that pulls up and then the lid comes off.

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
Well, I got to it, I think. Tried to pull what I thought was the fuse and the fan went off. I didn't actually pull anything. Thanks. I'm done for now.

It's normal for the fan to run for as long as 10-15 minutes after turning the engine off if the engine is hot enough. If it runs longer than that you may have a stuck or sticking relay that needs to be replaced. If it does it again try swapping the cooling fan relay with another relay that is the same size and see if it stops.
