Customer Question

Hello. I have a 2011 Sorento the ac blows hot. The compressor is running and full of freon. The engine fan cycles when the ac is turned on/off. The doors in the evaporator box are functioning properly. I had read on here that the evaporator climate temp sensor was an issue on the Sorento. I replaced it thinking that was the cause.

You need to scan the hvac module for codes. This will tell you if you have a sensor issue. You will also need a set of ac gauges to see the pressures of the system. Pressures will tell you a lot about how the system is working. Is the larger line leading to the evap cold under the hood near the firewall?

Customer: replied 2 months ago.
The high pressure line is hot the low pressure line is cool but not cold.
