Replaced battery today, as I connected the negative terminal the alarm sounded
JA: Have you tested the battery? Is the battery fluid low?
Customer: Brand new battery, now car turns on but stalls and I smell gas then dies

Customer: 2011 sorento 4cyl

Customer: Nothing, all I did was change out dead Barretty...I went to start car today and got a clicking noise....got battery tested and they said it needed to be replaced

Hello, what you need to do is unhook the battery again. Put the key in the ignition and turn it to the ON position. Then re-connect the battery. The alarm should not sound and you'll be good to go.
