Customer Question

I have a 2005 Kia sorento, I replaced the battery. Then start car it ran normal for about 3-5 minutes, then died! When I try to restart it, it acts as if it's not firing. I sprayed a little starting fluid on air filter, just to see if it would start; it did not. Please help!!

Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

If it didn't attempt to start on starting fluid then you either have no spark or an engine mechanical issue. A loss of spark could be quite a few things ranging from the cam or crank sensor, wiring, it may simply be a blown fuse or the engine controller itself may be down.

Does the engine crank at a normal speed or does it sound faster or uneven?
