Customer Question

I have rented a kia rio. The acceleration is terrible and the active eco light is on so I think that's the problem. However the active eco button is not on the instrument panel where the Manuel says it should be. So how do I deactivate the active eco??

Hi. What year Rio is this?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I think it's a 2016 I'm in Israel I rented it from hertz. It had 12 miles on it. Ran fine on the first day. Then the acceleration became terrible and I saw the eco light but I can't find the button. It's not where the Manuel says it should be

What should I do?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Are you still there?
Expert:  EricFromCT replied 1 year ago.

To turn on and off the ECO there is a menu in the instrument cluster. You either access it by the button on the instrument cluster, or the steering wheel buttons.

I can't find any button
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
The Manuel says it will be on the left hand side but it's not there. It's a black panel not a button

I have the manual. I am looking at it now.

I have the manual too (I found it online) but the button is not there

I dont have any more info from KIA on this. It is possible that because it is a rental it is set to be on ECO all the time to conserve on fuel economy. Why dont you call the place you rented it from?

I brought the car back and their agent pressed the trip button until eco appeared then held down reset until it went off
