Please help me out here with a bit of advice. I recently replaced the cylinder head on the passenger side of a Kia sorento 06. I used the old camshafts and once I torqued the bearing caps to spec it was extremely hard to turn. NO play when trying to move by hand at all. I loosen up the caps a bit and all is fine. How can i remedy the problem. Seems that the caps are to tight on the camshaft but I did everything by the book. I'm stuck until I get past this problem. Please help!

I have not gotten an answer as of yet. Although I did some research and have a different question now.... I got a new cylinder head but used the old bearing clamps. The camshafts are very hard to turn now. Can I get the bearing clamps honed out to fit the camshaft or what can I do to remedy the problem. The original bearing clamps that came with the new head are not an option. If I can get them honed, who can do that kind of work?

Sorry for the delay. Why can you not use the bearing caps that came with the new head thats the correct clearance .
The new Head did not come with the original caps. Came from a junk yard. Wish it were that easy. lol any ideas?
