2001 Kia Sportage: ignition switch..with automatic transmission

This answer was rated:

How do you replace the ignition switch on a 2001 Kia Sportage with automatic transmission?

Just need a little more info. Are you talking about the electrical part of the ignition switch or the lock cylinder part that the key goes in?
Customer: replied 4 years ago.
The electrical part of the switch.
Thanks for the info.
To replace the switch, you would remove the four screws from the steering column cover and remove the cover. Then you should see the switch. I believe there is one screw holding it to the lock cylinder. Just remove it and then you can unplug and remove the switch.
Hope that helps!
