2006 KIA Rio 4 cyl .....timing belt broke! How do I check to see if any valve damage? Also what is book time for this repair and possibly instructions for repair. Thanks
Hello, my name isXXXXX will do my best to assist you with your question

shy of removing the head and inspecting, you have 2 choices, either fit new belt on then check compression on each cylinder or.. remove valve cover and look close at top of lifter/valves wgere they contact the cam lobes. If any have play or wiggle around, a valve could be bent. best to slip on belt and try . you do not need to assemble everything , just get belt on , in time then crank engine and check compression or at least try to put finger in each plug hole while cranking to see if you get burt of air. compression guage the best way. repair info can be found by clicking HERE
