P0401 p0175 and p0172 faults I can here it pinging at high

Customer Question

P0401 p0175 and p0172 faults I can here it pinging at high rpm and idles rough it's a 2011 jk Wrangler I have started having issue since putting a supercharger on it
JA: Is the rough idle intermittent or consistent?
Customer: The faults p0175 and p0172 occurred two weeks ago idling rough then I went to work so I hadn't driven the vehicle for two weeks as I was at work
JA: Are you fixing your Wrangler yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Then I started it after two weeks and no issues ran fine now three days of driving both p0175 and p0172 plus the p0401 have occurred I'm just curious to think I may have melted the cats and if so woulda this bring up the egr fault
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: Yes I am I checked vacuum no leaks had a thorough inspection of clamps hoses prongs etc and since it is sort of intermittent I'm thinking maybe a sticky valve

Hi Im David, thanks for visiting the site

P0401 JEEP - Exhaust Gas Recirculation System Performance Possible causes - EGR passage clogged - Faulty EGR Vacuum Modulator Valve - Faulty EGR Valve - Faulty EGR solenoid valve - EGR solenoid valve harness is open or shorted - EGR solenoid valve circuit poor electrical connection - Dead (Weak) battery - Faulty EGR temperature sensor and circuit - Exhaust gas leaks

P0175 JEEP - Fuel System 2/1 Rich Possible causes - Faulty front heated oxygen sensor - Ignition misfiring - Faulty fuel injectors - Exhaust gas leaks - Incorrect fuel pressure - Faulty Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor

P0172 JEEP - Fuel System 1/1 Lean Fuel System Rich Possible causes - Faulty front heated oxygen sensor - Ignition misfiring - Faulty fuel injectors - Exhaust gas leaks - Incorrect fuel pressure - Faulty Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor

one thing in common with all three EXHAUST GAS LEAKS.... you blew something out. first things is check the egr for a blown out hole, then if thats not the case do a back pressure test. i always tell my customers if you mod a vehicle expect problems.
