Good evening and welcome to JustAnswer!!

My name is ***** ***** I have worked for a Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep dealership for 19 years and I will do my best to help.

No it's not normal for the airbag light to be on, and since it's on then that means you have a problem with your airbag system and it won't work properly if your in an accident. I would like to help you repair it but I will need for you to see what codes it has by connecting a scantool and give me the P codes. Without knowing what's wrong you won't be able to repair it.. We(Dealership) charge 1 hr labor which is around $100.00 to tell you whats wrong if you don't plan on fixing it yourself.

If you need anymore assistance feel free to shoot me a reply and don't forget to RATE before leaving the site so I get credit for helping you today..
