i think I'm having carburator problems
JA: What is the model/year of your Jeep?
Customer: 1990 wrangler
JA: Are you fixing your Wrangler yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: yes i am, already changed distributer distributer cap spark plug wires fuel pump, now there saying it could be the carb
JA: Have you ever replaced the fuel pump, or is this the original?
Customer: i just replaced it twice
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: runs great for about 20 miles than starts poping n bogging until it dies, sumtimes it just dies while running on the road

We need to know what your losing when this happens, so

The problem can be a loss of spark or fuel. You can check for
spark at the plugs with a spark tester.
You can check fuel pressure with a gauge and both of these tools
should be available to you at your
local parts store for rent or purchase.
You need to check for any stored codes in the computer with a
code reader or a scan tool.
The code reader only gives the codes and definitions, where the
scan tool gives you all the needed data to diagnose the codes.

It is possible that your carb is dirty inside too.
