I had a flash update to my Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 2 weeks

Customer Question

I had a flash update to my Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 2 weeks ago. Ever since then things have been going wrong. 2 days ago Jeep won't start. They say the TIPM went out and fried my starter. They want $1800 to fix.
Could the update have caused the issues. Nothing wrong before then.

There's nothing to fix, they caused this and need to redo that flash. they most likely installed the wrong software, this does happen.

thanks, Ron

Good morning and welcome to JustAnswer!!

My name is ***** ***** I have worked for a Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep dealership for 19 years and I will do my best to help.

There is no way to install the wrong software in an update flash so it's definitely not the wrong software. What year model is you Wrangler and what update was performed?
