I'm hearing and feeling an occasional thump coming from (seems like) the rear of the jeep. Had shocks
replaced and the springs seem good. Seems to happen when taking off and stopping. On occasion when I hit a bump in the road. My guy looked it over but has been unable to find anything.
JA: Where exactly do you think the noise is coming from? And how long has this been going on?
Customer: Feels like the right rear. For a few months now.
JA: What is the model/year of your Jeep?
Customer: 99 cherokee classic
JA: Are you fixing your Cherokee yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Got a pretty good shade tree on it. He recently replace the shocks and has inspected both them and the leaf springs.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: Have had problem with the gas gauge not working along with the horn, a deflated air bag, and cruise control going out all at the same time. Also the oil pressure gauge rolls up and down...mostly down. No overheating or loss of RPM and I have replaced the OPSU with no effect.
