Have Jeep Questions? Ask a Jeep Repair Expert for Answers
Good afternoon and welcome to JustAnswer!!My name is ***** ***** I have worked for a Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep dealership for 19 years and I will do my best to help.
Your TJ Wrangler has four O2 sensors.. Which one do you need, drivers upper, driver lower, passenger upper or passenger lower? If your needing the connector itself what is your VIN so I can get you the correct part number?
That VIN comes back on a Bright Silver 2004 Wranger with a 4.0L. It shows you have two converters on the drivers side. Do you need the front or rear converter lower connector? Do you know the wire colors so we can be sure?
The front upper converter is 1/1, the lower front is 1/2, the rear converter upper is 2/1 and rear lower is 2/2. So you are needing 1/2 O2 connector?
If yes then per our parts dept it's not available..
OXYGEN SENSOR 1/2 DOWNSTREAM - BLACK 4 WAY
Full Repair Kit: Not Available
1-OR/DGFUSED AUTOMATIC SHUT DOWN RELAY OUTPUT
1-VT/OROXYGEN SENSOR DOWNSTREAM HEATER RELAY OUTPUT
2-BR/WTOXYGEN SENSOR 1/2 HEATER CONTROL
3-BK/LBSENSOR GROUND 1
4-TN/WTOXYGEN SENSOR 1/2 SIGNAL
If the wiring colors match up and you have a bad connector then you will need to go to a salvage yard and cut one off and wire it in..
If the wire terminal in the connector hasn't been damaged then yes I would solder the wires and heat shrink as the O2 sensors voltage measures up to 1v so it's go to be a good wire because if you just crimp it then it will cuase a high resistance which will lower the voltage and cause issues..
