Customer Question

If there is no inertia switch on a 2002 Grand Jeep Cherokee, what would cause the acceleration of speed on impact?

An inertia switch shuts the fuel pump off in case of an impact/accident. Some vehicles have it some do not. Otherwise the PCM would normally control the fuel pump relay at would shut the pump off if RPM was lost. Not sure what you question is.
