Customer Question

Hi, Chris.
I have a 96 grand Cherokee Laredo 6 cylinder.
I m having a problem with her staying on. I'll crank her and she'll start up but it takes a couple of toys for her to keep running. I have replaced the ignition coil, and the fuel filter. I have no idea what to do next. Was gonna switch out the o2 sencers

On the throttle body is a part called the idle air control. Yours is most likely sticking or failed. It's job is to try and get the idle up so it will keep running. It is easy to remove and clean or replace and costs under $50. Also make sure you clean the port that it goes into. They get crud build up in there, you can clean it with spray carb or injector cleaner.
