Have Jeep Questions? Ask a Jeep Repair Expert for Answers
Hi There, I'm Clay a certified master automobile technician with 30 years of automotive repair and diagnostic experience.
From your description most likely the ignition control module's start signal has failed. At the ignition control module cut the green wire going into the modules harness connector. Leave enough room to splice this wire back together. If the engine starts and continues to run, replace the ignition module and splice the wire back together. The ignition control module should be under the engines coolant reservoir.
I hope this information is helpful. If you have any questions let me know. You can reply back to me through this thread at any time.
