1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0. Several months ago started

Customer Question

1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0. Several months ago started having an issue starting in the AM. Crank but wouldn't start. Replaced plugs, wires, dist. cap, IAC, fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, fuel filter, crank sensor, MAP sensor. Ran fine, but still would not start after sitting overnight. Replaced ECM with a junk yard unit. Car now started all the time, but ran horribly (rough idle, jerking hesitating etc...). Replaced ECM with a remanufactured unit. Car now runs great again, BUT once again will not start after sitting overnight. Mechanic is telling me he thinks there is an issue with the Flywheel? Would this cause a hard start problem, and if so, whet did is start fine before we replaced to the new ECM?

When the engine does not start, is it missing spark and or fuel? No codes in the computer? Would you be willing to speak on the phone?
